A Pinterest Vizsla Board

I don't know if you've stumbled upon (ar ar) Pinterest yet, but it's kind of addictively fun in a semi-pointless, highly time-wasting way. But I justify it as an easy way to save cool stuff I come across on the web. I'm just getting started, but you can check out my Dog Board here....ok, yes, it's pretty much only Vizslas- I may post another type of dog when I find one worthy of being next to all those Vizslas ;-)

And if you want more than just dogs, I have started a few other boards as well:

Vizsla Things 6: The Crazy Puppy Run

You don't need to be a puppy to do the crazy puppy run.... when you're a Vizsla. Here are a few videos that show just what I mean when I say "crazy puppy run" (and actually, they were taken within about 10 seconds of one another, so it's really like one incredibly long crazy puppy run).

What's down there?

I don't think this post even needs words...

Ahhh, fun with Vizslas ;-)

Puppy Flashback

Captain as a puppy! I've been going through some old videos (searching for a few specific things... Vizlsa things) and couldn't help posting this one.

(Pay no attention to the screechy female voice in the background.... I swear that's not what I really sound like!)

And then there's this one, short and sweet:

Ah, old family videos ;-)

Vizsla Things 5: Incredible Flying Ears!

Yup, the next thing (in no particular order) that makes a Vizsla a Vizsla are those gorgeous ears. Gorgeous, big, flying ears.

I've said before that I think when Captain was a puppy his ears were the biggest part of him. I'm a total sucker for a dog with big ears ;-) Vizsla ears are big, soft, perfect red triangles that fly tremendously in the wind.

(On a more serious note, big floppy ears also means they can be more susceptible to ear infections, so make sure you dry your Vizsla's ears after swimming, bathing, and periodically for cleaning. Captain had an ear infection as a puppy, and let me tell you, putting ear drops in an active puppy's ears was no easy task.)

Cheers, big ears!

Vizsla Things 4: Cuddle Bugs

Happy 2012! What better way to start off the new year than with another Vizsla Thing?

I haven't met a Vizsla yet who doesn't love to cuddle under blankets. And since they're so cute, it's impossible to not let them.

Check out this post for a video of Captain hiding in the sleeping bag! (Second video in the post). Very cute.

Hope you got to cuddle with your cuddle bug over the holidays. Happy New Year!
